Do your own Research

I just got through reading a Wall Street Journal Insert by Direct Selling News. www.DirectsellingNews.com and completely enjoyed numerous articles on this market. Some call it MLM, Network Marketing or Direct Sales. I have been so encouraged by the recognition and the big players investing in various types of home-based businesses because I am a proud owner of a Telecommunication, Technology and now Energy network marketing business at http://www.5Linx.net/Thewilsons.

One of the reasons I recommend that individuals should do their own research is: as I scan the internet, I find various comments where the words scam, rip off, pyramid and other terms are attached to Outstanding home-based businesses. One of the worse place to consult when making a decision to start your own network marketing business is a friend or family member who may not be an authority and have heard or read some of the same negative comments I have.

Some things to consider as you research. Select the products and services that interest you. Go to The Direct Selling Association enter the company name and see if it is a member. We are delighted about what is said about our Telecommunications company. You could be putting your business goals on hold by letting others discourage you on a decision you should make for yourself. According to The direct Selling News, Twelve up-and-coming direct selling companies were recently named to Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500/5000 ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. 5Linx of which I am an Independent Marketing Representative, made that list for four consecutive years.

Direct Selling is describe and is the ultimate social model. We have been in the game of sharing with friends, relatives, co-workers through various means, our businesses from home for years. Due to Telecommunicatins and Technology, a network marketing business can be shared faster with more diversity and worldwide. There are some Direct Sales Companies that have gone public, some are being bought by large investors, others remain private. The Direct Selling News insert in the Wall Street Journal has over 40 pages and was distributed to 1.2 million subscribers in the U.S. So the next time you hear, see or read comments about this market, do your own due diligence.
